Operae is a trade exhibition dedicated to the self-made design. A real marketplace with an original view on the world of design and aimed at favouring a direct approach between designers from all over the world and the public, dealers, distributors and journalists.
The foreign protagonist of 2011 edition Operae was WAMP from Hungary. A unique opportunity to give a close look at the lively and emergent Eastern Europe scene, that in these last years has asserted itself on the international panorama.
Thanks to the annual appointment of Budapest Design Week (that has reached its 8th edition) and a set of monthly appointments that allow local designers to display, the city of Budapest has become the heart of a growing creative fervour, son of freedom and the frantic economic development.
WAMP presented Hungary in Torino, with a selection of designers and products that offered us the right tools to understand the characters of a young Design, still partially unknown.
