We turned 4 years old!!!! In the previous football world championship’s year, on a hot summer day in July, WAMP began its design-conqueror way. In the time that passed between the two football-events, excellent design veins, musicians, guests and of course the audience ensured the superb mood on more than 50 fairs. Let’s say thank you all!

Another sleepy Sunday going completely to waste because you’re too much of a sloth to do anything meaningful? Well, rise and shine and bring some color into your weekend by schlepping yourself down to the heart of the city and joining the seekers and creators of colorful Budapest style. In July, PUcc Sweetwear Design’s lovely small figures, all in candy colors will overrun the Erzsébet tér. So don’t expect anything other than koala rabbits, cube-shaped teddy bears, squint-eyed ninjas and a frilly woman collection at the fair.

Starting from 2009 WAMP introduces a designer every month who we consider unique or outstanding at the design fair. The aim is also to introduce the person behind the design objects. In July, Pucc Sweetwear Design is being presented with the WAMP designer of the Month Award. This is a brand that produces clothes, accessories and lovely small figures, all in candy colors, made from viscous, cotton, elastic, striped, dotted or checkered materials.

In June, look out for porcelain designer Balázs Antal, recipient of the WAMP Designer of the Month Award. He joined our Finnish Design Exhibition last year, and is hooked to our creative branch ever since, being a regular exhibitor of WAMP.

Starting from 2009 WAMP introduces a designer every month who we consider unique or outstanding at the design fair. In June, look out for porcelain designer Balázs Antal, recipient of the WAMP Designer of the Month Award. Last year he took part in the Finnish design exhibition, and since then he has regularly featured at WAMP. His masterpieces in porcelain design have been exhibited across three continents in New York, Japan and Germany.

An extra WAMP appears on 30th May to make up for the loss on! Around 100 Hungarian designers will be present at the first open-air WAMP of the season. As always, a wide range of unique design object as jewelry, textiles, shoes, design objects, ceramics, and childrens's toys will be set out.

This month Zita Majoros graphic designer has been presented with the WAMP designer of the Month Award. Her graphics treat various local and social subjects, and her collections – dresses, T-shirts, bags, copy-books, textiles and furniture - deliver a wide range of urban life messages.

Balllon group has established in 2007 as a collaboration of five designers, partly from WAMP’s connections.
