A new decade and new look for WAMP, the Hungarian design market. Back with a fresh look and feel, in February, WAMP will emerge with a whole heap of innovation. Both the fair and its designers will present fresh images, in the form of the likes of new design talents and new-look and concept installation. It’s a chance to check out the latest design trends, through diverse, innovative, contemporary local design, from around 100 Hungarian designers. It’s also an opportunity to meet the designers themselves.
Designer of the month
WAMP pays particular attention to supporting talented, new designers. Viktória Csepleő has been presented with February’s designer of the month award by the fair, and has enhanced its atmosphere with her gonzo look and label – Alice In Wonderland, Black And White Nightmare – unique shoes and accessories, and her Suck Right! shoes and accessories collection consisting mainly of leather and limited edition pieces. On the score of “Design through children eyes” the DEMO group invites children with new programs.
Blup relaxing corner: WAMP visitors can refresh themselves after the long exploration of design products.
The exhibition of the best pieces of the competition organised by ÖKO-Pannon and WAMP on recycled glass is now open on WAMP. Award ceremony at 11.a.m.
DJ Shuriken namely Gábor Vályi is known as desperate record collector. He usually selects from his discs in the Tilos radio, on the other hand he plays in wild parties and in solid cultural programs. His strengthens are nu-jazz, swing, Latin music, hiphop, fusion jazz and electronic music.
New year’s news: The director of WAMP was awarded the "Innovative Entrepreneur" in the contest of the Entrepreneur Of The Year announced by Ernst & Young.
