Toy story at WAMP

16th of November 2008
Gödör Klub from 10 am to 6 pm

"Girls and boys, come out to play,
The moon is shining as bright as day.

Leave your supper, and leave your sleep,
And come with your playfellows into the street."

Says Mother Goose in her rhyme which could as well be the motto of the  WAMP this time as the main focus of the upcoming fair on November 16th will be on toy designers! If you’re interested in either retro or contemporary toys, visit this exclusive exhibition of Hungarian toy design by WAMP!

Visitors will be able to stroll and shop as usual, while listening to DJ Killbert (Kindergarten DJ-set) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and afterwards DJ Case (Tilos Radio) from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The long-awaited WAMP design bookshop will also be open for visitors.

You are also welcome to step up to the cocktail counter where you can taste the delicious mixes all day. As if the event needed an addition to all the toys, a creative corner will keep the kids happy too!

Musical background of the fair:

DJ Killbert: regular designer and exhibitor of WAMP and last but not least a DJ, Killbert is going to present his own set called Kindergarten in November. His musical career started as the organizer of the so called Lollipop party series playing electroclash, breakbeat, indie, new wave, discopunk etc. music. The style in Hungary was not well known at that time and since finding DJ-s was not easy, he started playing his own music as DJ Stress in the beginning. Up 'til today DJ-ing has become his number one hobby – at Lollipop parties and elsewhere. Apart from listening to his music don’t forget to take a look at his T-shirt as he is definitely going to put on his own brand!

DJ Case: known from Tilos Radio and A38 Ship has been obsessed with Japanese music for a year so far, and has presented the programme Nippon Groove in Tilos Radio since 2005. Meanwhile he is working on his website of Japanese music, writes articles and organizes concerts and parties too. He says he is coming to WAMP with a “take it easy” pack of music inspired by the world of cartoons, Nintendos and mangas. Pizzicato Five, acid jazz and chilly music will all be part of his performance this time.
