WAMP in the middle of the summer, too!
As you might have come to expect, there will be two WAMP events in July, too. On July 7, Come and spend this Sunday with us under the shady trees on Erzsébet Square.
WAMP and WeLoveBudapest present: 2. Műszak – Budapest, as you have never seen it before
On June 23 until late at night, there will be a special event held on Erzsébet Square, partly connected to Midsummer Night, the summer solstice. In addition to the design fair, WAMP and WeLoveBudapest are preparing some other exciting events for visitors.

This weekend, WAMP at two different locations This weekend, Budapest will be all about fashion, and naturally, WAMP cannot be left out. On Saturday, June 8, there will be a WAMP exhibition in Hall B of the Millenáris venue connected to the closing ceremony of the Gombold újra! Central Europe fashion competition, while Sunday, June 9, is the day for the popular WAMP design fair again.
WAMP returns to Erzsébet Square this Sunday
After the long winter, the WAMP summer season starts on May 26 this year. The organizers look forward to receiving everybody who is interested in the latest creations of Hungarian designers on the Erzsébet Square promenade. Nearly one hundred designers will be participating in the design fair this time, which will feature lots of new items and has been visually revamped, too.
Summer fashion trends at WAMP
The last design fair of the spring season is to be held in Váci1 on May 12. This time, the downtown location will host the best Hungarian designers and brands as well as the latest 2013 summer fashion trends
Fashion from first hand - WAMP Fashion 14th April
The thematic WAMP fair focusing on fashion returns on April 14. The works of nearly a hundred designers will be showcased again in the stunning interior space of the Váci1 building, and several creators will present their latest spring collections this Sunday. In addition to the designers already well-known to the public, some new talents will have the opportunity to introduce themselves through the WAMP+ section, featuring designers who were selected from a number of applicants. Naturally, visitors will find lots of fine food and delicacies at the gastro section.
Trend it Up – WAMP Fashion on March 10, in Váci1
The first thematic WAMP fashion fair is held on March 10 this year. In addition to the well-known designers, the new generation of Hungarian fashion designers will also get the chance to showcase their collections and WAMP+, the section featuring the coolest designers, will also present a new selection of creations in the impressive interior space of the Váci1 venue. The Fashion fair will be centred around the theme of wedding this time, but the organisers have prepared for us a wedding fair out of the ordinary: featuring the latest trends, ranging from invitations through wedding and evening gowns to table decorations, with special attention not just to the bride and groom, but also their guests.
Every Sunday is WAMP Sunday
From the beginning of November onwards, the popular design market WAMP is finally organised a lot more frequent. From now on instead of the monthly appearance, you will have WAMP on a weekly basis on each Sunday! Beyond the more calculable timing, WAMP is preparing with a brand new format with thematic sections, highlighting one theme at each occasion. Despite the new structure, you will still meet the already well-known designers from the other sections, the brand name of the weekly markets only refers to the emphasis of each sections.
Mikser Festival presents: GHOST PROJECT
"Mikser Festival presents: GHOST PROJECT“ Ghost Project is Mikser Festival’s international platform for talented individuals in the area of industrial design. The exhibition Ghost Project introduces innovative objects and materials, whose production is cost-effective and does not damage the environment. The pieces are chosen in an international competition, open to all designers up to the age of 35. The project mentor and the leader of the selecting committee is the internationally recognised designer, Konstantin Grcic, whose dedication and rich professional experience is invaluable to the development of the project. At the WAMP events during Budapest Design Week, Mikser Festival is presenting focused national selection of 10 projects realised in close cooperation with the Belgrade University’s Faculty of Forestry under leadership of doc. Jelena Matić.
