After having a break in January, WAMP has revived itself in the middle of the carnival season. Wearing costumes is still trendy in 2009, and so we asked Hungarian designers to make unique masks and carnival accessories for the WAMP fair this February.
If you have difficulties deciding whether to be an evil witch or an elf come to the fairy WAMP to get fabulous ideas from their creative designers. Also, the usual design items like clothing, jewelry, accessories, furniture, toys, ceramics and glassworks will be on display throughout the carnival fair.
Program:
- Costume exhibition of Fruzsina Nagy
- Design bookshop with brand new issues
- All-day cocktailbar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails
- Free mask making in the creative corner for children
- Have your carnival make-up done!
WAMP-Stílus prize:
WAMP-Stílus prize will be awarded again in February, this time in the category of accessories.
The last winner of the prize Szofita was awarded in the category of jewels for her special and extraordinary snowdome ring collection. Her works will be introduced in Stílus Magazine’s New Faces column in the upcoming issue.
Moodmasters:
The Lushlife DJs: Konrad & Zoohacker
Zoohacker (Zoltán Palásti Kovács) and Konrad (Konrád Pilisi) known from Radio Café have already showed up at WAMP, this time you can meet them as the DJs of the Lushlife crew. They are well-known lounge DJs in the Hungarian electronic music scene, hence their music can be described with medium tempos and Café del Mar, however with more unique Hungarian sounds. A great variety of music genres as well as Hungarian folk music appear in their music. They are going to showcase their special sets at the WAMP carnival fair.
