WAMP at the opening ceremony of the Collegium Hungaricum in BerlinThe Hungarian cultural festival in Germany, Ungarischer Akzent invited WAMP to its final event. Several cultural performances including concerts, exhibitions, readings and a design show celebrated the opening of the new building of the Collegium Hungaricum Berlin. WAMP showcased 12 Hungarian designers as well as an interactive design installation in the brand new building in the neighbourhood of Unter den Linden.
Due to the culture-transmitting role of the institute we designed an interactive installation on the walls of the institute which served as a message board for all visitors. Messages could be left in all languages with the help of the 1500 WAMP-letters made of plastic.
In the other part of the room a shop was set up where bags of 12 Hungarian designers could be bought WAMP on spot. Mock people outlined with black lines appeared pleasant and somewhat funny crowd, each wearing a different designer bag.
We left the wall and the letters there for future visitors to play with the language, the words and the design.
